EarthQuaker Devices releases limited Plumes Jr and Blumes Jr MOSFET Mod pedals

November 5, 2026 · 4 sources

EarthQuaker Devices announced the Plumes Jr MOSFET Mod and Blumes Jr MOSFET Mod on October 29, 2026, according to MusicPlayers.com, which dated its release from Akron, Ohio, to that day1. No Treble reported the same date2, while Guitarristas.info, published November 2, described the announcement as having come "el jueves pasado," the previous Thursday3.

The two pedals are compact versions of the full-size Plumes and Blumes, which stay in production1. Each has Level, Gain and Tone controls and a three-way clipping switch labeled L, N and M21. Mode L is symmetrical LED clipping, described as crunchy, compressed and mid-focused; Mode N uses no clipping diodes and is intended as a clean boost; Mode M is the new MOSFET clipping mode21. EarthQuaker says the third mode on the standard pedals, which it calls the most "screamer"-style setting, has been replaced by the MOSFET mode, which it describes as producing a harmonically rich, focused overdrive with enhanced low end and a dynamic response similar to a modern high-gain tube amp1. The Blumes Jr doubles the gain of the core circuit and deepens the bass response, according to the company1.

"I thought it would be cool to further differentiate these variants from the stock versions"
Jamie Stillman, EarthQuaker Devices, in MusicPlayers.com1

Plumes Jr is limited to 2,000 units and Blumes Jr to 1,00031. Both are available now at authorized dealers worldwide at a US MAP price of $1291. Guitarristas.info gives the same US price and lists the standard Plumes and Blumes at 149 euros3.
