The Aclam Go Rocky Go White Album Edition is a limited-finish version of Aclam's Go Rocky Go, a preamp and overdrive pedal built as a replica of the Brilliant Channel of a Vox Conqueror amplifier, serial number 2004, that Aclam owns1. The pedal reproduces the Conqueror's built-in distortion and M.R.B. (Mid Range Boost) circuits, and the White Album Edition keeps exactly the same electronics as the regular Go Rocky Go, changing only the paint: a clean white finish with typography taken from the White Album's inner sleeve credits, in place of the psychedelic artwork inspired by George Harrison's Rocky Stratocaster12.
Aclam launched the Go Rocky Go in March 2025, moving on from its earlier Beatles-amp replicas to the tones of the Magical Mystery Tour and White Album era34. The White Album Edition is now listed as sold out on Aclam's store page5.
A Vox Conqueror Brilliant channel in a pedal
The Vox Conqueror was a transistor-driven amplifier made from 1967 to 1969, with a preamp that included built-in distortion and M.R.B. (Mid Range Boost) effects, and it was used widely on record in that era4. Aclam's pedal traces back to an actual Conqueror the company acquired in 2017 while searching for a Vox UL730, the amp behind its earlier Dr. Robert pedal6. The manual describes the result plainly:
"The Go Rocky Go is a carefully crafted replica of our Vox Conqueror (S/N: 2004) Brilliant Channel"1
Aclam recreated the two-channel amp's Brilliant channel exclusively7, reproducing its distortion and M.R.B. circuit while adding modern refinements8. One of those refinements is practical: Premier Guitar's reviewer noted that Aclam made the bass control more linear and precise than the amp's own7. The pedal sits in Aclam's roster of Beatles gear-inspired effects, which also includes Dr. Robert, a replica of the Vox UL730 used by the Beatles, and the Mocker4.
The standard Go Rocky Go enclosure carries a powder-coated homage to the distinctive paint job of George Harrison's Rocky Fender Stratocaster4; the White Album Edition strips that away for the plain white look1.
The footswitches and modes
The pedal has two footswitches but controls four functions: bypass, distortion, M.R.B. and Crunch Mode, using intelligent switch detection16.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bypass footswitch | Engages the unit; white LED in Normal Mode6 |
| Hold Bypass 1.5 seconds | Toggles to Crunch Mode; LED turns blue69 |
| Distortion footswitch | Engages the distortion circuit, based on the original amp's circuit9 |
| Tap both footswitches simultaneously | Activates the M.R.B. mid-range boost1 |
The two clean preamp modes work like this:
- Normal Mode reproduces the clean channel of the original Vox Conqueror preamp, with the Bypass LED lit white6.
- Crunch Mode raises the gain structure with a slight overdrive, giving what the manual calls "a fuller, dynamic edge-of-breakup tone"; hotter pickups yield more gain16.
Switching is relay true bypass, designed to be ultra-silent with no clicks or pops for clean pedalboard operation18. Jacks sit on the top of the landscape-oriented enclosure9.
Power: 9V to 18V, center negative
The pedal runs on a 9VDC to 18VDC negative-tip supply with the standard Boss-type 2.1mm connector1. Aclam's store page specifies a supply delivering at least 50mA minimum, while the manual recommends a current supply of at least 100mA "just to leave a safety margin for the DC adapter"15. The pedal's own draw is approximately 25mA5. No battery option is mentioned; a power supply is required6.
Voltage choice changes the character, per the manual:
- At 9V: the tone is slightly warmer and the distortion leans toward fuzzier territory1.
- At 18V: higher headroom, increased output volume, and more sustain and bite1.
RockBoard's product page echoes this: the 9 to 18V range allows greater headroom, more output and more sustain at higher voltage8. GuitarPlayer's reviewer noted the unit runs on a standard center-negative supply, not included, delivering anything from nine to 18 volts4.
The White Album Edition needs a center-negative 2.1mm supply of at least 50mA (100mA recommended by the manual). It cannot run on a battery.
The White Album limited edition
The White Album Edition is a special edition inspired by the album's cover: it replaces the psychedelic Rocky Stratocaster visuals with a clean white finish and typography from the album's inner sleeve credits, celebrating the 1968 White Album era12. Aclam states that future production of the edition, if any, will not be individually numbered2.
Inside, nothing changes. Aclam's own pages are explicit:
"The White Album Edition shares exactly the same circuit as the original Go Rocky Go. Only the finish is exclusive."2
The store listing confirms the same electronics as the original5. As of late October 2026, Aclam lists the White Album Edition as sold out5. The regular Go Rocky Go remains available, and Aclam has also offered Scratch and Dent units, described as effect pedals that in some cases were demo units used for reviews; that listing is also sold out10.
What reviewers said
Published reviews of the Go Rocky Go, which shares the White Album Edition's circuit, were positive. GuitarPlayer's Dave Hunter called it254:
"A clever reworking of the Vox Conqueror preamp and its distinctive Beatle-toned distortion in pedal form"4
Guitar World's review, by Trevor Curwen, flagged one drawback worth knowing before mounting it3:
"Not everyone will appreciate the holes for the Aclam Smart Track pedalboard mounting system."3
Those holes are part of the die-cast, powder-coated enclosure design4.

Questions
Is the White Album Edition different inside from the regular Go Rocky Go?
No. Aclam states that the White Album Edition shares exactly the same circuit as the original Go Rocky Go, and the store listing confirms it has the same electronics. Only the finish is exclusive: a clean white look with typography drawn from the White Album's inner sleeve credits, instead of the psychedelic Rocky Stratocaster artwork.
Is the Aclam Go Rocky Go White Album Edition sold out?
Yes. Aclam's product page for the White Album Edition lists it as sold out as of late October 2026. The regular Go Rocky Go remains part of the lineup, and Aclam has also sold Scratch and Dent units, which in some cases were demo units used for reviews.
Is the Aclam Go Rocky Go true bypass?
Yes. The manual specifies Relay True Bypass, and RockBoard's product page describes the switching as ultra-silent, with no clicks or pops, for clean pedalboard operation. The bypass footswitch engages the unit and lights a white LED; holding it for 1.5 seconds switches to Crunch Mode, which turns the LED blue.
Where are Aclam pedals made?
In Spain. The Go Rocky Go manual, which covers the White Album Edition, states the pedal is made in Spain. Aclam Guitars is a Barcelona-area company also known for pedalboards such as the Smart Track system and for Beatles-inspired pedals including Dr. Robert and the Mocker.
