The Feed Me mk3 enclosure kit from Anasounds is the box half of a DIY fuzz pedal build: a ready-to-use enclosure with the Anasounds design and all the holes already drilled, so you can assemble your own pedal with 3PDT or relay true bypass1. It is sold separately from the electronics, which means it is also the replacement or spare box for anyone who already has a Feed Me circuit. Anasounds lists it at 59,00 EUR, as of the product page1.
The circuit it houses is a fuzz Anasounds describes as "a legendary fuzz that can be customized with no limits"1. The Feed Me is inspired by a famous circular fuzz pedal from the 60s, modified by Roger Mayer, and the mk3 runs BC108 silicon transistors23.
A modified circular 60s fuzz
Anasounds describes the Feed Me mk3 as "a vintage 60s era fuzz, which can easily reach modern stoner or gated fuzz tones"24. The pedal's circuit lineage is a Fuzz Face evolution: Delicious Audio, covering the mk3 launch, called it "a new version of their Fuzz Face evolution"5. Anasounds also markets the mk3 as "a legendary fuzz that can be customized with no limits"32.
The mk3 adds several customization features over the earlier circuits16:
- A BASS switch to adjust low frequencies using interchangeable capacitors on a terminal block. The bottom position keeps the original Feed Me capacitor for powerful low frequencies and a fat-sounding fuzz; the top position lets you fine-tune the bass cut with the supplied capacitors for a punchier fuzz6.
- An optional 10nF terminal block capacitor, which Anasounds describes as giving "a fuzz that fits perfectly into the mix"3.
- A CRACK switch which, with the SMASH pot, "can destroy the power supply... for a brutal gated fuzz"6.
- Various bias settings for velcro or gated fuzz tones, and a custom bass setting for what Anasounds calls massive heavy tones1.
The manual also describes a wide-open setting: used alone with a clean amp and the bass switch off, the Feed Me "provides a massive, wide-spectrum fuzz for solo use that will cover all the frequencies usually covered by other musicians"6. Anasounds says the pedal is known for its richness and highs, allowing powerful fuzz but also very warm cleans when you play with the guitar's volume knob1.
Feed Me versions: mk1, mk2 and mk3
The Feed Me has gone through three versions. After the mk1, which Anasounds says "already brought a lot of improvements to the original circuit," came the mk2, "with a plug and play" approach and no controls, and then the mk3, which moves into the FX Teacher range with the customization features listed above12.
| Version | What changed |
|---|---|
| mk1 | Improvements to the original circuit1 |
| mk2 | Plug and play, no controls1 |
| mk3 | FX Teacher range, customization features: BASS switch, CRACK switch, bias settings16 |
Anasounds unveiled the Feed Me Mk3 on 4 February 2022, with terminal blocks, trim pots and a DIY kit option, as part of its FX Teacher Project5.
What is the FX Teacher range?
FX Teacher is Anasounds' DIY range. For its mk3 version, the Feed Me moves into the FX Teacher range, where it is sold "for a DIY pedal to assemble yourself, or already assembled as you choose"3. The range is built around a tester-based assembly method, and the Feed Me full kit includes one of these testers along with the PCB and components7. The Feed Me PCB is also sold on its own, "for the most courageous," under the FX Teacher and spare parts categories8.
What else you need to complete the build
The enclosure kit is only the enclosure. Anasounds lists what the electronic kit requires separately2:
- One Feed Me enclosure kit, or a blank enclosure to customize
- One true bypass kit with 3PDT or relay
- One tester to use the FX Teacher assembly method
- Soldering tools
The electronic kit itself includes all the necessary components, one Feed Me PCB, and a bag of bonus components for further customization2. If you would rather buy everything at once, the full kit bundles the build together, though the tester and soldering tools are still not included7.

Questions
What other parts do I need to build the Feed Me mk3?
The enclosure kit is only the box. To complete a pedal you also need the Feed Me electronic kit or the PCB with components, a true bypass kit with a 3PDT or relay footswitch, a tester if you follow the FX Teacher assembly method, and soldering tools. Anasounds sells all of these separately, or you can buy the full kit which bundles them together.
Is the Feed Me mk3 enclosure kit the same as the full kit?
No. The enclosure kit is just the drilled and finished enclosure with the Anasounds design. The full kit is the complete package to build the pedal, including the PCB, components, bypass hardware and the FX Teacher tester. The enclosure kit suits builders who already have the electronics or want a spare or replacement box.
Which circuit is the Feed Me based on?
Anasounds says the Feed Me is inspired by a famous circular fuzz pedal from the 60s, modified by Roger Mayer, and the mk3 uses BC108 silicon transistors. Delicious Audio described the mk3 as a Fuzz Face evolution, with terminal blocks, trim pots and a DIY kit option added over the earlier versions.
What size enclosure does the Feed Me mk3 use?
The enclosure kit is listed at 10 by 10 by 10 cm, and the Feed Me mk3 product page names the box as a Hammond 1590N1 enclosure. The kit comes with all the holes already drilled for the Feed Me build, so no drilling is needed if you use the supplied layout.
What is the FX Teacher range?
FX Teacher is Anasounds' DIY range, where each pedal is sold as a kit to assemble yourself or already assembled, as you choose. The range uses a tester-based assembly method and emphasizes customization, with terminal blocks and bonus components. The Feed Me moved into the FX Teacher range with its mk3 version in 2022.
What is the difference between the Feed Me mk2 and mk3?
The mk2 was plug and play, with no controls to adjust. The mk3 moved into the FX Teacher range and added customization features: a BASS switch with interchangeable capacitors on a terminal block, a CRACK switch for gated fuzz, bias settings for velcro or gated tones, and a custom bass setting for heavy tones.
