Questions
Is the Behringer Chorus Ensemble the same pedal as the Behringer Chorus Symphony?
The Chorus Ensemble is the name Behringer used when it first teased its Boss CE-1-based chorus in April 2022. The pedal reached the market in January 2025 as the Chorus Symphony, priced at $79, described by the press as a clone of the 1976 Boss CE-1. If you are looking to buy one today, the Chorus Symphony is the released version of that project.
What pedal is the Behringer Chorus Ensemble based on?
It is based on the Boss CE-1, the 1976 chorus pedal that guitarworld.com's MusicRadar coverage describes as the first chorus pedal, known through players such as Andy Summers, Nirvana, Joe Satriani and Johnny Marr. Behringer's version carries the same Chorus Intensity, Vibrato Depth and Rate, and Level controls as the original, along with the high and low preamp sliders.
