The All Black Flocked SkullFuzz is a handmade fuzz pedal from Dr. No effects, a builder of guitar effects whose product line runs under the banner of "Dr. No's Analog Imaginarium". It is one of the maker's SkullFuzz creations, built around what Dr. No describes as "the legendary Fuzz circuit, handcrafted with precision and artistry"1. The enclosure carries the maker's "black flocking" technique, which Dr. No says gives these SkullFuzzes "a menacing aura"1.
The Dr. No All Black Flocked SkullFuzz was offered as one of only two available units. As a one-of-a-kind handmade build, it is not a regularly produced pedal1.
Where it sits in the SkullFuzz family
The All Black Flocked SkullFuzz belongs to a wider run of SkullFuzz designs from Dr. No, each finished differently and many built as single, one-off pieces. Related pages on this site cover the standard Dr.No SkullFuzz, the Dr. No Art SkullFuzz and its Flock Edition, the one-off Flying SkullFuzz, and the Siamese Twin SkullFuzz limited series. For the effect type itself, see Fuzz Pedals1.
Each SkullFuzz comes packaged in a bespoke wooden box, according to the maker1.
