Head modes, tape speed and delay time

The sine setting gives smooth, continuous pitch movement, while sample-and-hold produces stepped, random-seeming jumps, and the SHAPE knob blends between the two¹. The echo signal also has its own Bass and Treble controls, so the repeats can be darkened or brightened independently of the dry sound⁴.
