The Fish Circuits ASTRONOMIE is a dynamic digital spring-style reverb pedal, a reverb effect built to evoke the character of a spring tank in digital circuitry1. It was shown as one of the new pedal releases at NAMM 2025, and Paolo De Gregorio of Delicious Audio called it "one of the most intriguing new pedal releases at NAMM 2025"2.
What it does
The ASTRONOMIE gives the player three selectable decay settings, labeled Short, Medium and Long, so the length of the reverb tail can be switched between three fixed ranges rather than swept continuously1. RockBoard's PedalPedia describes the pedal as dynamic, meaning it responds to the incoming signal as part of its spring-style voicing1.
Design and controls
The pedal carries what Delicious Audio describes as "the company's signature chunky vintage look and very unusual controls", along with a large footprint on the board2. Players used to compact modern enclosures should expect something bigger and more old-fashioned in appearance than the average reverb pedal2.
With a 100mA current draw at 9V DC, the ASTRONOMIE needs a supply that can deliver that current; a low-output daisy-chain output may not be enough1.
