The Fjord Fuzz Frei Vibe is a standalone MK2 vibe pedal from Fjord Fuzz, the Norwegian builder known for its fuzz-centered range. It takes the vibe circuit that previously lived inside the Midnattssol fuzz and vibe workstation and gives it a pedal of its own, so players who want that uni-vibe-style modulation without the fuzz side can get it separately1.
What it does
The Frei Vibe carries the vibe section of the Midnattssol into a standalone MK2 pedal. Guitar Pedal X's news item on the release describes it plainly: "the vibe component of the Midnattssol is also now a standalone MK2 Frei Vibe pedal"1. For a player, that means the modulation half of that larger pedal is available on its own, alongside the fuzz and reverb pedals Fjord Fuzz split out of its combined units at the same time, such as the Fjær Spring Reverb and Bjørn Classic Fuzz1.
Enclosure and availability
The pedals in this run have mostly been rolled out in hammered enclosure designs, and an all-black gloss variety is also available. Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson noted of the new facia style: "have mostly been rolled out in hammered enclosure designs - while my pedals are the all-black gloss varieties"1.
The Frei Vibe was listed at $229 as of 12 September 20251.
