The Flamma Innovation FS06 Digital Preamp is a digital preamp pedal that puts seven amp models in one enclosure. Instead of carrying a pedal for each flavor of gain, you select a model based on a well-known amplifier, dial in gain, volume and a three-band EQ, and save the result to a preset slot. Flamma says the seven models "cover a wide variety of classic and modern guitar tones"1.

Because the FS06 is digital, it also carries a built-in cabinet simulator, so it can serve as a complete amp-and-cab replacement: plug your guitar into it and run the output straight into a mixer, PA or recording interface. It can also be configured without the cab sim and used in front of a real amp12.

Seven amp models in one digital pedal

The FS06 is Flamma's first preamp pedal, and each of its seven models is based on a different well-known amplifier34. Press coverage names five of them:

ModelBased on
Model 1, Deluxe BlueFender Blues Deluxe2
Model 2, Ac31VOX AC302
Model 4, Plex 50Marshall Plexi 502
Model 6, MB 5th GenMesa/Boogie Mark V2
Model 7, HVE 5151EVH 51502

That range runs from a clean-leaning American combo at one end to a high-gain head at the other, which is what lets one pedal cover both classic and modern territory. As JHS Pedals' blog put it, "These modes simulate everything from the Fender Deluxe to the Vox AC30"4.

Each preamp model has two channels that can be easily switched between, so a single model can hold, for example, a cleaner setting and a driven one3. Each preamp also has a saveable preset slot, so your knob positions are stored per model rather than lost when you turn to another one2.

The controls and channels

The front panel is built around five knobs: Gain, Volume (listed as Level in some coverage), and a three-band EQ covering Bass, Mid and Treble23. RockBoard's PedalPedia entry, drawing on Flamma's own documentation, describes how the settings work:

"built-in EQ knobs allow easy adjustment of Bass, Mid, Treble, Gain, and Volume levels that can be saved to each channel's preset slot"3

Pedal of the Day's reviewer called the EQ section "a lovely EQ section for controlling your Treble, Midrange and Bass frequencies," sitting alongside the Level and Gain controls2. In practice that means each of the two channels per model can carry its own saved gain, volume and EQ settings, giving you fourteen distinct saved sounds across the pedal.

The pedal is housed in what the same reviewer described as a sturdy shell: "Housed in a sturdy shell, this one seems to be built for road wear-and-tear, like the rest of Flamma's pedals"2.

Cab simulation and direct use

The FS06's built-in cabinet simulation is the feature that lets it work without an amplifier. Flamma's product page states it plainly: "Built-in cabinet simulation allows users to connect directly to mixer/PA system"1. Pedal of the Day covered the same ground in its review, noting you can configure the FS06 to use the cab sim when connecting directly to a mixer or PA2.

For players comparing options, the FS06's cab simulation is built in rather than offered as a separate unit, aimed at direct-to-PA and recording use. The manual covers its operation alongside the preamp models3. Reviewers found the amp models get pretty close to the original amps, though not a 100% realistic recreation2.

What reviewers said

Published coverage of the FS06 has been positive about how close the models land. Pedal of the Day, reviewing it in September 2021 as part of its Flamma Fridays series, summed up the amp models this way2:

"the sound isn't going to be a 100% realistic recreation of the original amp…but these get pretty damn close"
Pedal of the Day, September 20212

The same review noted the price at the time, saying "the FS06 costs about 80 bucks"2, which matches Flamma's current list price of $78.00 USD1.

Questions

Which amps does the Flamma FS06 model?

The FS06 offers seven preamp models based on well-known amplifiers. Five are named in press coverage: a Fender Blues Deluxe (Deluxe Blue), a VOX AC30 (Ac31), a Marshall Plexi 50 (Plex 50), a Mesa/Boogie Mark V (MB 5th Gen), and an EVH 5150 (HVE 5151). Flamma says the seven models cover a wide variety of classic and modern guitar tones.

Does the Flamma FS06 have a built-in cab simulator?

Yes. The FS06 includes built-in cabinet simulation, which Flamma says allows users to connect directly to a mixer or PA system. The cab sim can be configured on or off, so you can also run the pedal into a real guitar amp.

Can the Flamma FS06 go straight into a mixer or PA?

Yes. With its built-in cabinet simulation enabled, the FS06 connects directly to a mixer or PA system, so it works as a complete amp-and-cab replacement for recording or live use without a real amplifier.

How many channels does each model on the FS06 have?

Each of the seven preamp models has two channels that can be easily switched between, giving you clean and driven voicings within a single amp model. Each preamp also has a saveable preset slot for storing your settings.

Is the Flamma FS06 analog or digital?

The FS06 is a digital pedal. Its circuit is listed as digital, and press coverage describes it as a digital preamp pedal with presets, which is what allows it to hold seven different amp models in one enclosure.

How much does the Flamma FS06 cost?

Flamma lists the FS06 at $78.00 USD as of October 2026. When Pedal of the Day reviewed it in September 2021, the price was described as about 80 bucks, so the street price has stayed in the same range.
