The Sunflower Deluxe Tremolo is a stereo harmonic tremolo pedal from Flower Pedals, with a fully analog signal path that is managed by a digital control side. It offers both harmonic tremolo, where the treble and bass parts of your signal are modulated separately, and standard amplitude tremolo, and the two can be blended12. Flower Pedals launched it in August 2022, and Guitar World reported it as available now for $349 at the time3.
The pedal is an evolution of the company's earlier work. Delicious Audio describes it as taking the harmonic tremolo of the Dandelion Tremolo V2 and making it stereo, while borrowing the three ramping modes from the Castilleja2. Guitar World went further, reporting that Flower Pedals marketed it as the Dandelion "on steroids"3.
What a harmonic tremolo does differently
A standard tremolo raises and lowers the volume of the whole signal. A harmonic tremolo splits that work, modulating the treble and bass content separately, which produces a more textured, phasey pulse rather than a simple volume swell. The Sunflower Deluxe does both, and Delicious Audio notes the two types are blendable2.
The stereo side is where it gets distinctive. The Harmonic Width knob controls the phase offset between the treble and bass tremolo waveforms: fully counter-clockwise they are in sync, fully clockwise they sit 180 degrees apart1. The Stereo Width knob works the same way for the left and right channels, effectively panning the tremolo between outputs1. Flower Pedals says that combining both width controls at different settings produces "a swirling, three-dimensional tremolo with an almost rotary-speaker" character1.
The controls and modes
The pedal carries the standard tremolo controls plus the shaping hardware. Delicious Audio lists the core knobs as Boost, Depth, Speed, Tap Division and Shape2, and Gearnews' earlier coverage of the Sunflower Stereo Harmonic Tremolo adds DIV (divisions), Width and Randomness knobs alongside two switches, Ramp and Shape, for harmonic tremolo shaping4.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Speed | Sets the tremolo rate2 |
| Depth | Sets the modulation depth2 |
| Boost | Part of the standard control set2 |
| Tap Division / DIV | Selects tap tempo divisions; secondary function sets separate speeds for the bass and treble components of the harmonic tremolo124 |
| Shape | Continuously variable; behavior depends on the Shape mode switch1 |
| Harmonic Width | Phase offset between treble and bass tremolo waveforms, in sync to 180 degrees apart1 |
| Stereo Width | Same offset function for left and right channels1 |
| Ramp and Shape switches | Harmonic tremolo shaping4 |
The waveform side is deep. Flower Pedals specifies 8 continuously variable waveforms across 3 modes1. In Triangle mode, the Shape knob blends between three triangular shapes. In Random mode, a random square wave is generated, and turning the Shape knob up increases the complexity and unpredictability of the pattern1.
Tap tempo, ramping, presets and MIDI
The pedal has two onboard footswitches, one of which handles tap tempo with selectable divisions12. The three ramping modes, carried over from the Castilleja, shape how the speed behaves over time2:
- Drift: the speed automatically wanders up and down, with adjustable depth, speed and shape. Delicious Audio explains that Drift "will take your primary speed and drift it up and down at a depth and speed of your choosing," with triangle, sine or random drift shapes selected via the Shape switch12.
- Latch: tap to toggle between two speeds1.
- Momentary: hold to ramp to a second speed, release to return1.
Presets are handled from the footswitches themselves. Hold both down for 2 seconds to save the current sound as a preset; a quick press of both recalls or steps through them2. There are five onboard presets, indicated by a color-coded LED1.
For bigger boards, the pedal speaks MIDI over a 3.5mm in/thru jack, Type A TRS, with an integrated optocoupler1. There is also a 1/4" expression jack with per-parameter mapping, so you can assign a pedal to whichever control you want to move live1.
The MIDI jack is 3.5mm TRS rather than the larger 5-pin DIN found on some rack gear, so you will need the appropriate TRS-to-DIN adapter or a 3.5mm MIDI cable to connect it to conventional MIDI hardware.
What reviewers said
Delicious Audio's write-up was emphatic about the feature count:
"It isn't an exaggeration to say this is the most fully-featured analog tremolo on the market2."
"In Random mode, a random square wave is generated, and turning the Shape knob up increases the complexity and unpredictability of the pattern."
The manual also describes the Harmonic Width knob as controlling the phase offset between the treble and bass tremolo waveforms, from in sync fully counter-clockwise to 180 degrees apart fully clockwise, with the Stereo Width control working the same way for the left and right channels1.
Gearnews, covering the Sunflower Stereo Harmonic Tremolo in its guitar gear gems round-up, highlighted the digitally controlled, fully analog signal path, the stereo operation and the presets4. Guitar World noted the compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure alongside the $349 launch price3.

Questions
Is the Sunflower Deluxe Tremolo analog or digital?
Both, in a way. The signal path is fully analog, so your guitar signal stays in the analog domain from input to output, while a digital control side handles tap tempo, presets, ramping and MIDI. Flower Pedals describes it as an analog signal path with digital control.
What power supply does the Sunflower Deluxe need?
It runs on 9 to 18V DC with a center negative plug, drawing under 200mA. A standard 9V center negative pedalboard supply covers it, and the sub-200mA draw means most isolated supplies can power it alongside several other pedals.
How do you save a preset on the Flower Pedals Sunflower?
Hold down both onboard footswitches for 2 seconds to save the current settings as a preset. A quick press of both footswitches recalls the presets, or steps through them, and the pedal holds five onboard presets indicated by a color-coded LED.
Can the Sunflower Deluxe Tremolo run in mono?
Yes. The pedal has stereo in and out, but nothing requires you to use both channels. Plug into one input and one output and it works as a mono tremolo, with the Stereo Width control then having no separate left and right channels to offset.
How much does the Flower Pedals Sunflower Deluxe cost?
The list price is $349.00 USD, which is the regular price on Flower Pedals' own product page as of October 2026. Guitar World reported the same $349 price when the pedal launched in August 2022.
