The IK Multimedia AmpliTube X-TIME is a delay pedal that combines analog hardware with AmpliTube 5 software integration. IK Multimedia describes it as a boutique true-stereo delay pedal delivering 16 high-end delay algorithms, covering everything from classic tape echoes to pristine digital effects and creative time-based sounds1. It belongs to the wider family of delay pedals, but it is built as a hardware unit with deep software ties rather than a standalone stompbox.
IK Multimedia's product page lists the X-TIME as sold out as of 25 October 20262.
What it does
The X-TIME's core appeal is the range of delay types in one box. IK Multimedia says the 16 algorithms give access to classic tape echoes, digital delays, and creative time-based effects1. Because the pedal is true stereo on both the inputs and the outputs, it can be placed in a stereo rig or amp loop and process both channels, which is where a true-stereo design differs from a mono delay with a stereo output bolted on1.
The pedal also carries full MIDI implementation, so it can be controlled from a MIDI controller or a switching system alongside the rest of a rig1. A dedicated expression pedal input allows real-time control of a delay parameter from an expression pedal1.
Sound quality and specifications
IK Multimedia specifies ultra-low noise 24-bit/192 kHz converters, a 5 Hz to 24 kHz frequency response, and a 112 dB dynamic range1. The DSP sits in a road-worthy anodized aluminum chassis1.

Software integration and bypass
The X-TIME pairs with AmpliTube 5, a 64-bit application requiring a 64-bit CPU and operating system1. This hardware-plus-software approach is the pedal's distinguishing feature: the same delay algorithms exist in the AmpliTube 5 ecosystem, so sounds worked out in the software can be carried to the pedalboard.
Bypass is selectable between true bypass and soft bypass1. True bypass removes the pedal's circuitry from the signal path entirely when off, while soft bypass keeps a buffered path, which some players prefer at the end of long cable runs. Having both on a switch means the X-TIME can be matched to the board it joins.
Price and availability
IK Multimedia lists the X-TIME at €329,99 excluding VAT1. The company's product page also shows the pedal as sold out2, so availability is something to be aware of if you are looking at this model alongside other delay pedals.
