The Jackson Audio Asabi Dual Plexi / JCM800 Distortion with Large Mouse Rat Module is a dual-engine distortion pedal. One side carries a Plexi or JCM800 style circuit, and on the new model that circuit can be swapped out for a Large Mouse Rat module, turning the pedal into a Rat-style distortion. The pedal is a development of the Asabi line, whose predecessor, the El Guapo, was not a modular pedal1.
Controls
The two sides have separate control sets, and each footswitch selects among four clipping options1.

Each footswitch offers four clipping options: Amber (2 x LED), Green (2 & Symmetric), Blue (3 x Asymmetric) and Magenta (4 x Symmetric). A dual simultaneous press of the footswitches cycles the gain through 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%1.

Writing in a 2024 buying guide of Rat-style distortion pedals, Stefan Karlsson of Guitar Pedal X noted that the Large Mouse module does not sound like a typical Rat, and that despite its 3-Band EQ and Presence control he judged other pedals in his selection to sound better overall1.
"Interestingly this is not your typical sounding Rat, and despite 3-Band EQ and Presence - there are other better sounding Rats in this selection - it still sounds pretty impressive though and particularly on Asymmetrical Clipping"
