The Keeley Mews Driver is an analog overdrive built around the Andy Timmons signature drive circuit, reimagined exclusively for B's Music Shop with limited-edition artwork featuring Tiger (white) and Wrigley (calico), Andy's beloved companions. RockBoard's PedalPedia says this is the only version with the custom art, and that it is only available through B's Music Shop1.

What it does

RockBoard's PedalPedia describes the Mews Driver as a sonic chameleon, covering everything "from sparkling clean boosts to Marshall-style crunch, to fat, squishy germanium fuzz"1. In practice that means one pedal that can sit in the boost, overdrive and fuzz territory depending on how it is set.

The range comes from its switching. Dual voicing switches let you mix and match gain structures and EQ curves, and a Drive toggle shifts the pedal toward a looser, vintage fuzz feel that RockBoard's PedalPedia says blooms as it opens up1.

Andy Timmons and the limited edition artwork

The Mews Driver carries the circuit of the Andy Timmons signature overdrive. RockBoard's PedalPedia says Andy Timmons worked directly with Robert Keeley to create a pedal that reacts like a living, breathing instrument1. The Mews Driver edition sets that circuit in a run of limited-edition artwork showing Timmons's two cats, Tiger and Wrigley, and it is sold only through B's Music Shop1.

Power and bypass

The pedal runs on either 9V, which RockBoard's PedalPedia describes as giving vintage grit, or 18V for massive headroom, drawing 27mA1. Bypass is switchable between buffered and true bypass on the fly, so you can match it to the rest of your board1.

At 27mA the Mews Driver is beyond what most daisy-chain supplies deliver per output, and 18V operation needs a supply that offers it. Give it its own outlet on a pedalboard power supply.

Questions

Who designed the Keeley Mews Driver?

The Mews Driver is an Andy Timmons signature overdrive. According to Keeley, Andy Timmons worked directly with Robert Keeley to create a pedal that reacts like a living, breathing instrument. The Mews Driver version is that signature circuit reimagined exclusively for B's Music Shop with limited-edition artwork.

Is the Keeley Mews Driver true bypass?

Yes, and more than that: the bypass is switchable between buffered and true bypass, and Keeley says you can change it on the fly. That lets you choose a buffer to drive long cable runs or straight true bypass for a fully mechanical signal path when bypassed.

How much current does the Keeley Mews Driver draw?

Keeley lists the current draw at 27mA. It runs on a 9V supply for a vintage-style grit, or 18V for more headroom, so plan your power supply accordingly.

Where can you buy the Keeley Mews Driver?

The Mews Driver is a B's Music Shop exclusive. Keeley says this is the only version with the custom artwork, and that it is only available through B's Music Shop. The pedal is built by hand in Oklahoma with premium components.

Is the Mews Driver analog or digital?

The Mews Driver is an analog circuit. Keeley lists the circuit type as analog, with dual voicing switches that let you mix and match gain structures and EQ curves.
