Mission Engineering SP-H9 Eventide

The Mission Engineering SP-H9 is an expression pedal built specifically for the Eventide H9 Harmonizer. Mission Engineering announced it in May 2016 as a joint effort with Eventide, and it is calibrated for the H9 rather than being a general-purpose expression pedal¹.

The H9 is a multi-effects processor with an expression pedal input alongside MIDI and USB connections², so a pedal like the SP-H9 gives a player real-time control over effect parameters with their foot instead of reaching for knobs or an app.

What it does

The SP-H9 plugs into the H9's expression pedal input³² and lets a player sweep a chosen effect parameter, such as delay time or mix, while playing. What sets it apart from a standard expression pedal is its integrated switch, which engages repeats and other H9 functions¹. That means a player can kick the effect on or off without a separate footswitch on the H9 itself.
