The Strymon Cloudburst Midnight Edition is a limited, all-black version of the Cloudburst, Strymon's ambient reverb pedal. Gearnews reported the Midnight Edition as a black take on the same ambient reverb, listed as the Cloudburst Midnight Reverb LTD1. Players who want the circuit in the standard finish can look at the regular Strymon Cloudburst Ambient Reverb.
What it does
The Midnight Edition carries the same role as the standard Cloudburst: it is Strymon's ambient reverb pedal, and the Midnight Edition is simply that pedal in a black finish. Gearnews introduced it as "a black version of the ambient reverb"1. Beyond the finish, published reporting on this version is limited, so players comparing it against the wider Strymon reverb range, from the blueSky and NightSky to the BigSky and BigSky MX, will find the most detail on the standard Cloudburst's own page and on the site's Reverb Pedals type page.
Price and availability
At the time of the announcement, the pedal was listed at $298.00 USD, alongside £266.00 and 309.00€ in other markets1. As a limited edition, it is not a permanent part of the lineup the way the standard Cloudburst is, and stock depends on what remains with dealers.

Questions
Is the Strymon Cloudburst Midnight Edition still available?
The Midnight Edition is a limited release rather than a permanent catalog item. Strymon has described the all-black Cloudburst as available while supplies last, so availability depends on remaining stock at dealers. The standard Cloudburst remains the regular version of the pedal for players who want the same ambient reverb in the company's usual finish.
