Anasounds opens Dystopia pre-orders as a two-week limited edition

Anasounds opened pre-orders for the Dystopia, a limited-edition delay pedal, on December 1, 2023. The maker said ordering runs for two weeks only, to December 17123.
The Dystopia uses the same PT2399 chip as the maker's Utopia Deluxe, with what Anasounds describes as a dirtier voicing and a noisier, crunchier preamp placed after the delay repeats23. The maker calls it "an extreme version of this historic effects" aimed at experimental players1. A central Pain knob sets four modulation types (tape, vibrato, lo-fi and ring modulator) and programs a two, three or four-step sequencer, with a different time setting per step and an adjustable glide123. Tap tempo sits on the second footswitch, with three subdivisions selectable by switch; holding the footswitch raises feedback into self-oscillation1. The preamp has its own knob and a three-way switch for always on, always off, or on with the delay1. Anasounds lists dimensions of 10 x 10 x 10 cm2.
"The first 250 pedals will be delivered on time for the holiday season (we are building them as you're reading this!), and the following batch will be delivered early 2024."
No US dollar price was given. The maker's product page states pre-orders are closed on its website, with some units available at listed retailers while stocks last2. Guitar Pedal X, which included the Dystopia in its year-end list of time-based pedals, described it as a mono delay4.
