Old Blood Noise Endeavors releases Float Dual Analog Filter V2 with MIDI and presets

November 3, 2026 · 2 sources

Old Blood Noise Endeavors released the V2 edition of its Float Dual Analog Filter on November 3, 2026, adding MIDI, presets and an AUX footswitch to the dual filter pedal12.

The Float V2 adds MIDI, three onboard presets with 127 accessible over MIDI, an AUX footswitch, Depth controls and push-button switches2. MIDI control covers all parameters, including tempo sync via MIDI clock, with subdivisions from ÷4 to x42. A hard sync function, set by a five-second hold, locks both cutoffs together exactly2. The AUX footswitch handles tap tempo or preset switching, and expression control covers all main knob parameters2. The footswitches are soft touch, with latching or momentary control2.

Each filter has knobs for Rate, Depth and Shape of its LFO, and for Resonance, Cutoff, Volume and Envelope Sensitivity12. The Shape control offers six options: Sine, Square, Ramp Down, Ramp Up, Random 1 and Random 212. A filter mode button toggles between all possible filter combinations, and the Depth, Resonance and Volume knobs light up to indicate the selected filter mode, low pass, band pass or high pass, including combinations of multiple filter types12. Routing options are parallel mono, series mono, mono-in-stereo-out and stereo12. The rear panel carries 1/4-inch in and out, 1/8-inch MIDI in and out, USB-C, 1/4-inch expression and 9V DC at 350mA12.

The Float V2 is priced at $32912. It comes in Mint Green, Ocean Blue and Cotton Candy colourways and is hand-made in Oklahoma, USA12. Guitar Pedal X reported it "should be widely available now at leading International Dealers"1.

"The Float V2 adds MIDI, three onboard presets (127 accessible over MIDI), an AUX footswitch, Depth controls and push-button switches."
Guitar Pedal X2

Guitar Pedal X, whose writer owns the original V1, described the V2 as larger and more complex than its predecessor, with routing handled internally rather than through two sets of inputs and outputs, and called the push-button switches more robust but less immediately clear than the old toggles12. The same article called the engineering sound and the pedal "a smart pedal," while finding its graphics less clear and its design less elegant than the V112.
