Boss has unleashed its most compact multi-effects unit yet, the Pocket GT Pocket Effects Processor, which crams a ton of learning-focused functionalities into a smartphone-sized chassis.

Tone-wise, the Pocket GT comes with 100 amp models and effects to process the signal with, delivering infinite tone-chasing with an extensive assortment of combinations. This compact unit allows players to craft original sounds and access to deep editing tools.

With some help from the Boss Tone Studio app, the Pocket GT incorporates a YouTube browser, enabling users to learn songs direct from the source. According to the brand, the unit “introduces a fun new way to practice, jam, and get better every day. Combining premium BOSS guitar tones with integrated YouTube learning, this pocket-size amp/effects processor pairs with your smartphone or tablet to create the ultimate go-everywhere lesson studio.”

Not content with that, the Pocket GT also allows for saving playlists for set practice routines as well as setting tone shifts to happen in sync with the songs. Other handy features include a massive bank of user presets, USB audio interface capability, Bluetooth music streaming, an onboard tuner with a dedicated button, headphone connectivity, and an inbuilt rechargeable battery.

The Pocket GT Pocket Effects Processor retails for £229.
