Champion Leccy releases The Kilter V2 modulation pedal

July 17, 2025 · 2 sources

Champion Leccy lists the Kilter V2 at $265.001. The maker describes it as "a modulating parallel FX loop utility pedal (or swing-swanger for short)"1. Delicious Audio reported the release on July 17, 2025, calling it an upgrade to the original Kilter2.

The pedal has a single input, a single output and two parallel FX loops, each with a send and return and its own volume control1. An LFO with tap tempo swings the signal between the two loops; the space control sets how far the signal swings and the time knob sets how quickly it modulates1. The LFO has 8 waveforms, including 2 random waveforms, and is the same one used in the Woozy and the Skitter1. The maker says the pedal also works as a tremolo, a clean blend, a parallel mixer or a ring mod1. Current draw is 45mA, and it runs on a standard BOSS style +9V center negative power supply, which is not included1.

The maker lists the V2 changes as a smaller footprint, top-mounted expression inputs for time (rate) and space (depth), sends and returns that are internally jumpered until a pedal is plugged in, and small circuit changes to the gain staging and power section1. Delicious Audio reports the enclosure is 20% smaller, the gain staging was revised for improved headroom and the power supply filtering was enhanced2. The maker says all Champion Leccy pedals are designed and handbuilt in Philadelphia1.

"For this version the sends and returns are internally jumpered until you plug a pedal in, so if you want to use the Kilter as a tremolo or ring mod, you can do that without the extra patch leads!"
