Neural DSP says CorOS 3.2.0 will add Metronome and three X plugin ports

Neural DSP said in a development update dated May 15, 2025, that CorOS 3.2.0 for the Quad Cortex will include a Metronome and ports of Archetype: Cory Wong X, Parallax X and Archetype: Nolly X. The company said it anticipates CorOS 3.1.1 will be released in June, with CorOS 3.2.0 to follow shortly after.
The Metronome is configured through the Tempo settings. Neural DSP lists Tempo (BPM for all time-based devices), Mode (tempo shared across all presets or set per preset), Tempo LED, Volume, Mute, Pan, Time Signature, Subdivisions, Sound and Routing, which assigns the outputs the click is sent to. All settings except Mode can be assigned to Scenes, the company said. Tapping the beat indicators above the Parameter Editor sets how each beat is accented, with three accent types plus a mute option, also Scene-assignable.
Neural DSP said the Metronome synchronizes automatically with the Looper and can provide a count-in before recording, and can play during recording without being recorded into the loop. CorOS 3.2.0 also adds a Follow Input setting to Sidechain-compatible devices, which detects and follows the active input signal from the Input blocks on the Grid. The accompanying Cortex Control 1.3.0 update adds automatic IR transfer when importing X-plugin presets.
"we were able to finalize the port of Archetype: Cory Wong X to Quad Cortex, which will be included in CorOS 3.2.0 alongside Parallax X and Archetype: Nolly X"
Neural DSP, Quad Cortex Development Update #561
CorOS 3.1.1, the release preceding it, adds support for a new ESS audio codec. Neural DSP said Quad Cortex units will be manufactured with the new codec from August 2025 because the original component was discontinued, and that units with it consume up to 50% less power while power requirements stay at 12V DC 3A (center negative). On those units, Inputs 1/2 no longer show TYPE switches, since the signal is detected automatically on both the TS and XLR inputs. The company said audio quality and performance are otherwise unaffected. CorOS 3.1.1 also adds a Live Tuner in Gig View, expanded LED brightness settings and Previous/Next navigation in the Scene Editor.
