Crazy Tube Circuits announces Constellation CV7003 fuzz and Memphis vibrato

October 1, 2026 · 3 sources

Crazy Tube Circuits announced two all-analog pedals in December 2020: the Constellation CV7003 fuzz and the Memphis vibrato123. Guitar Pedal X dated its report December 11, 20202; Gearnews dated its report December 13, 20203.

The Constellation CV7003 is a hand-built fuzz pedal built around hand-selected NOS germanium CV7003 transistors that Gearnews describes as military spec and made in 1968 by Texas Instruments in the UK13. Guitar Pedal X describes the CV7003 as equivalent to the OC44 and as the same sort of transistor used in the original 1966 Dallas RangeMaster Treble Booster2. A large dial selects the fuzz voicing, alongside volume and gain knobs3. The six modes, as listed by Guitar Pedal X, are FF (Fuzz Face), VTB (Vox Tone Bender), 3/2 (Tone Bender MKI.V), 2 (Tone Bender MKII), RM (RangeMaster) and RMFF (RangeMaster into Fuzz Face)2. Crazy Tube Circuits describes RMFF as "A future classic combination"3. The run is limited to 200 units worldwide13. Gearnews gives a US list price of USD 299 and says the pedal ships in a wooden box3.

The Memphis is a pitch-shifting vibrato based on the Magnatone amps of 1970s California, and Crazy Tube Circuits positions it as the "small brother" of its Killer V pedal, without the drive section1. It uses an analog LFO and a two-stage pitch shifting circuit, with a built-in preamp1. Gearnews says the preamp offers up to 20dB of clean boost with a 1950s/1960s amp voicing3. Controls are Intensity, Speed and Volume, plus an All Dry/All Wet switch23. Guitar Pedal X counts four controls against the Killer V's eight plus dual footswitches2.

"The Memphis has been designed as the "small brother" of CTC's Killer V pedal. With the Memphis, you get a simple, true pitch shifting amp-like vibrato pedal, without the drive section."

No US list price for the Memphis appears in the reports. Guitar Pedal X said the first batch of the Constellation sold out almost instantly2.
