June 21, 2024 · 2 sources

The Danelectro Spring King is listed as "No longer available new" in the gear database for the June 21, 2024 episode of That Pedal Show, which covered real spring reverb pedals¹. The same entry lists the pedal among the gear used in the episode¹.

The Spring King is a spring reverb pedal built around a real spring tank. Delicious Audio describes it as "a discontinued spring pedal with real spring" that "features the unique 'Kick Pad,' which, when kicked, produces that classic cracking noise"². No US list price for a new unit appears in either source.

Delicious Audio states that the pedal's "successor is the 2024 Spring King Junior, which inherits much of the circuit"². No further specification for the Spring King, and no price or release detail for the Spring King Junior, is given in the two sources.

The episode placed the Spring King in a lineup with the Carl Martin Headroom, Surfy Bear, Crazy Tube Circuits White Whale V2 and Echo Fix spring reverbs¹. The show's notes say the hosts were responding to viewer interest: "judging by the comments in the last video, you all love the Dano Spring King!"¹.

The Danelectro entry sits alongside other reverb pedals in the database.
