Sonicake Levitate pairs digital delay and plate reverb in one pedal

The Sonicake Levitate is a dual-effect pedal from Sonicake that combines a digital delay and a plate reverb, Delicious Audio reported on July 3, 2023. The outlet described it as launching a new format for the builder, which it called a "Chinese builder of (mostly) mini pedals," in the shape of an affordable, non-mini, dual-effect pedal series¹.

The delay and reverb run in that order, and the pedal has two controls for each effect: Reverb and Decay for the reverb, Feedback and Time for the delay, which Delicious Audio said can produce repeats as long as 2 seconds at its maximum setting¹. Sonicake lists a maximum delay time of 2000ms and a reverb with a "large schedulable Decay parameter"². The delay has independent adjustment of dry and wet signal². Delicious Audio noted tap tempo for the delay, a momentary footswitch for trails on both effects, and separate knobs for wet and dry signal, and wrote that a switch reversing the routing would have been welcome but would have raised the price¹.

Sonicake's product page lists a buffer bypass circuit and a 9V center-negative power requirement at 92mA, with the supply not included². The maker's answers to posted questions state that delay trails are preserved when the pedal is bypassed, that a tap turns the reverb on and off, and that a hold engages the trail function for both effects². The same page states that headphone output is supported but mono, and that the maker does not recommend that setup, and that reverse delay is not available².

Sonicake lists the Levitate at a regular price of $55.99 and shows it in stock²³. The pedal is part of the site's delay coverage.
