TC Electronic has relaunched its 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay as a pedal, the 2290 P, Guitar.com reported on October 26, 2023¹. Delicious Audio described it as "a pedal reissue of the classic TC 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay rackmount processor" in a page updated January 17, 2024².

The 2290 P is a digital delay pedal³. Delicious Audio describes it as "a time-based effect generator that, apart from delay, also offers chorus, flanger, tremolo, vibrato, phaser, panning, ducking and compression"². Guitar World's review lists a rotary keyboard encoder knob in place of the original's numeric keypad, and reports a maximum delay time of 9.9999 seconds, against about 4 seconds for original units with the proper system software upgrades³. Gearnews reports up to 9.999 seconds of delay time⁴. The pedal stores 128 presets²³⁴, and presets can be imported, exported, organized and shared through TC's 2290 desktop application².

Three footswitches handle preset A/B selection, bank up and down, and tap tempo². Guitar World lists the footswitches as A, B and Learn/Tap Tempo³. The LEARN footswitch controls tap tempo per Preset (A&B), per Board (A+B) or globally²⁴. The rear panel has stereo quarter-inch input and output jacks that can be switched to mono, an effects loop, an expression pedal jack, a mini USB-C jack, 9-volt 250mA center negative power input and full-size MIDI In and Out/Thru jacks³. An expression pedal can control any three parameters simultaneously, according to TC Electronic². Gearnews reports users can choose between true bypass or buffered bypass for trails on/off⁴.

Guitar World lists the price at $349³. Gearnews listed $185.00 at Thomann⁴.

Guitar World's review calls the pedal's sound quality and dynamic expressiveness genuine to the original rack unit and notes it offers a single delay line only³.
