Asheville Music Tools retires the ADG-1 SE analog delay

October 1, 2023 · 1 sources

Asheville Music Tools has retired the ADG-1 SE, stating that the fall 2023 release was the final production run of the pedal1. The maker says a few more units were built in early 2024 from remaining inventory, and that it does not currently have plans to build the pedal again1.

The ADG-1 SE is a special edition of the company's ADG-1 analog delay1. The maker lists a 100% analog signal path and a third high-voltage Xvive analog delay bucket, allowing switching between delay times of 16ms to 350ms or 50ms to 1.055 seconds, extendable to 1.35 seconds with control voltages or an expression pedal1. It also adds a TRS insert on the delay loop, which the maker says lets effects such as EQ or octave pedals process the delayed signal without changing the dry tone, and a center-off switch on the LFO module1. The finish is a color-shifting "Guitarry Night" gloss, with solid aluminum GØRVA knobs1.

Listed specifications include switchable true bypass or JFET-buffered bypass with switchable trails, an expression/CV input assignable to time, feedback, mod amount or mod rate, and power at 9VDC drawing under 150mA, 90mA nominal1. The enclosure is a Hammond die-cast aluminum box measuring 4.90 inches deep, 3.70 inches wide and 2.25 inches high, at 15.5oz1. The price was $598.00, and the page lists the pedal as sold out1.

"The ADG-1 SE was always intended to be a limited special run."
