GFI System releases Duophony firmware 2.2.5

GFI System released firmware version 2.2.5 for the Duophony on October 22, 2026, according to the firmware listing on the maker's downloads page¹.

The update lists two changes. The first is "Improved MIDI reception handling." The second is a fix for "an issue where wet level adjustment are forgotten if loops are toggled on and off"¹.

The same page records the two preceding releases. Version 2.2.4, dated February 9, 2026, fixed "the intermittent unresponsive mix control." Version 2.2.3, dated January 24, 2022, fixed "the intermittent lock up issue when adjusting the mix setting for a single channel" and "the lack of display update when adjusting only the R channel mix setting"¹.

GFI System gives this update procedure¹:

• Download and install the Device Firmware Updater (DFU) software.
• Download the latest firmware file and place it in a folder whose directory path uses only latin (abc...) characters.
• Begin with the pedal powered down and the updater software closed.
• Apply power to the pedal while holding down both footswitches, and release when the display reads "FIRMWARE UPDATE".
• Click "Load Firmware", browse for the downloaded file, and run the update.

The listing does not give a price for the firmware.
