GFI System has released the Rossie Filter, a digital dynamic multi-filter pedal, the maker announced. Delicious Audio reported the release on February 5, 2024, describing it as the Indonesian builder's newest release and noting that it "tackles a type of effect that more than any other hangs on to its analog origins: filter"1.
The pedal combines three modes: an envelope filter, a step filter and a manual filter2. Each mode offers four filter types, lowpass, bandpass, highpass and peaking, and sweep range and resonance width are adjustable2. A dedicated Mix knob blends wet and dry signal2. Delicious Audio reports the modes are edited via three knobs, Range, Mix and a mode-dependent Param control, and that a small display shows parameter levels and the chosen mode1.
The two footswitches have a double function, according to Delicious Audio: the on/off switch acts as a momentary ramp effect when held down, and the tap tempo switch with subdivisions also navigates two presets1. An expression pedal input allows wah-style action and control of other parameters1. The maker lists mono input and output among the features1.
"Rossie is a dynamic multi-filter pedal that combines three essential tone-enriching filter effects"
