GFI System launches Solis Ventus delay and reverb workstation

GFI System released the Solis Ventus, a dual-engine delay and reverb pedal, on December 6, 2024, according to Guitar Pedal X1. The pedal replaces the Specular Tempus in a larger workstation format1.
The Solis Ventus runs two algorithms at once, with delay-delay, reverb-reverb or delay-reverb pairings in any order21. It offers 15 delay algorithms and nine reverb algorithms1. Routing can be series, parallel or dual mono, and the pedal has 96 presets, analog dry-through, spillover and bypass trails, and selectable buffered or true bypass1. It also includes a 40-second stereo looper with overdub, reverse, double and half-speed options, plus an Ascend Dub mode that gradually raises the loop's pitch, according to Delicious Audio3. Delicious Audio reports the pedal is powered by two 32-bit ARM processors3.
Two modes are available. In Preset Mode, players switch between stored delay and reverb pairings; in Stompbox Mode, one footswitch controls the on/off state of each engine21. The pedal has four control knobs per side and three footswitches1. Rear connections include left and right inputs and outputs, USB-C, an aux/expression jack, a second expression input, MIDI In and MIDI Thru/Clock1. Delicious Audio notes CV support on the aux jack3.
"Solis Ventus is a dual‐engine Delay and Reverb pedal, able to run two algorithms at once, with arbitrary pairings, ordering, and routings."
The published specifications differ on power. Guitar Pedal X gives input impedance as 1 MOhm and output impedance as 500 Ohm1. The price is $4991. Guitar Pedal X's reviewer wrote that the delay side is stronger than the reverb side, and that the larger enclosure makes it harder to use as a secondary spatial effect than the Specular Tempus1. The Solis Ventus sits in the multi-effects category.
