Hologram Electronics announced the Chroma Console, a stereo multi-effect pedal, in early November 2023. Gearnews published its report on November 8¹, and MusicRadar and Guitar Pedal X followed on November 10²³.

The pedal holds 20 algorithms in four sections: Character (gain), Movement (modulation), Diffusion (spatial and time-based effects) and Texture (special effects)³. Each section carries five effects, and four effects can run together in any order³¹. MusicRadar lists the sections as Drive, Movement, Diffusion and Texture, each with five stereo effects². Guitar Pedal X lists the Character effects as Drive, Sweeten, Fuzz, Howl and Swell; Movement as Doubler, Vibrato, Phaser, Tremolo and Pitch; Diffusion as Cascade, Reels, Space, Collage and Reverse; and Texture as Filter, Squash, Cassette, Broken and Interference³.

Controls include Tilt (EQ) or Sensitivity, Amount or Effect Volume, Rate or Drift, and Mix or Output Level, with secondary functions reached by pressing button combinations³. Gesture records and loops knob movements as modulation, and Capture records sustained loops of up to 30 seconds, pre- or post-effects³². Guitar Pedal X reports that pressing both footswitches enters a Calibration Mode that adapts the pedal to the input³. The pedal offers 80 user presets, stereo or mono input and output, MIDI In/Out/Thru with clock synchronization, USB-C, an EXP port, tap tempo, and true bypass or buffered bypass with trails³. It runs on 9V DC at 500mA⁴³. PedalPedia lists the circuit type as hybrid⁴.

Hologram's description of the pedal, as quoted by MusicRadar and PedalPedia:

The price is $399³²¹. Sources differ on shipping: Gearnews reported pre-orders shipping "in time for Christmas"¹, while Guitar Pedal X reported shipping starting January 2024 on a first-come, first-serve basis³, and MusicRadar also gave January 2024². Guitar Pedal X reported that the pedal is sold only through the Hologram Electronics webstore³.
