Harley Benton announced the Double Pedal range on 8 July 2022, six pedals that each combine two effects in one casing12. MusicRadar reported the launch as "the Double Pedal range which features six double-duty stompers"1.
Each pedal has a uniform casing split into two sides, with a footswitch and a full set of controls for each effect1. All are true bypass, and every pedal except the Double Jammer has a toggle that changes each effect's position in the chain1. Both effects can be used simultaneously, individually and in any order2. All run on a 9V DC power supply that is not included, with no battery operation1.
The six are the Evil Twin (analog overdrive and tubedrive), Duality (reverb and delay), Double Vision (analog tremolo and chorus), Twoface (analog overdrive and tremolo), Sugar & Spice (digital reverb and delay/chorus, voiced for acoustic guitar) and Double Jammer (drum machine and looper)12.
| Pedal | Effects | Current draw |
|---|---|---|
| Evil Twin | Analog overdrive / tubedrive | 100mA1 |
| Duality | Reverb / delay | 200mA1 |
| Double Vision | Analog tremolo / chorus | 100mA1 |
| Twoface | Analog overdrive / tremolo | 100mA1 |
| Sugar & Spice | Digital reverb / delay and chorus | 100mA1 |
| Double Jammer | Drum machine / looper | 300mA1 |
On the Evil Twin, one side is described as having an "ultra-wide dynamic range and extraordinarily open tube-like drive tone," while the other is Harley Benton's take on the original Japanese green overdrive circuit1. The Duality's delay offers three types (analog, real and tape) with a delay time of 5ms to 780ms1. The Double Jammer's drum machine has 11 genres of drum patterns, 121 drumbeats in total and tap tempo, while its looper offers up to 30 minutes of looping time with undo/redo and unlimited repeats1.
