Delicious Audio published a profile of the Heather Brown Electronicals Spirit in the Sky on June 5, 2023, describing it as "the third release (a Fuzz + tremolo pedal with a clean blend) by the New Jersey-based stompbox builder" who works under the God's Mom nickname¹.

The circuit places a Ram's Head-style fuzz in parallel with a JFET boost, which the builder describes as "lush, fat, and sustainy," alongside an optical tremolo that can be placed before or after the gain section via the Flow switch¹. Controls cover gain for the boost, tone and sustain for the fuzz, and a blend knob that reintroduces clean signal "for clarity and extra dynamics"¹. The tremolo has its own footswitch and controls for rate, shape (square to sine wave) and depth¹. A master footswitch affects the tremolo as well¹.

The pedal runs on standard 9-volt center-negative power and draws 13mA¹. The builder's notes say it "sounds great on bass and Rhodes too," and that the colorway is "a limited run with Reverb"¹. The builder also wrote, "I'm unsure what the future holds for this pedal"¹. No price was given in the profile.
