Horizon Devices launched the Clarity Compressor on January 18, 2024, according to Guitar World1. The pedal is the company's sixth, following the Precision Drive, Apex Preamp, Flux Echo and Nano Attack gain/boost pedal1.

The compact pedal has four control knobs for clarity, mix, volume and compression, a bright on/off light, a dotted LED display showing the amount of compression applied at that moment, and a light that displays the compressor's intensity1. Guitar Pedal X lists five controls, adding an intensity control to clarity, mix, volume and comp, and reports that attack and release are internally calibrated2. Horizon Devices describes the pedal as able to be "the most transparent compressor that you've ever played," with the clarity control available to enhance tone3.

Misha Mansoor, Horizon founder and Periphery guitarist, said the pedal was used across the band's album P51.

"We wanted to take the guesswork out of compressors so it's simple to set up and gives your guitar a chimey character"

Guitar World reports the first batch is in limited production, is expected to start shipping in two to three weeks, and costs $160, with pre-orders available direct from the Horizon website1. Guitar Pedal X lists the Clarity Compressor at $199 and says it is due at international dealers2. The two outlets disagree on the price. Horizon Devices' own product page lists the pedal as sold out and shows a price in pounds3.
