On November 23, 2024, Pedal of the Day published a profile of the Hotone Wong Press, a signature volume, wah and expression pedal made for Cory Wong. The outlet describes the pedal as building on the features of the Soul Press II, with Wong's custom requests included¹.

According to Pedal of the Day, Wong, described as a funk guitarist and 63rd Grammy nominee, found the multi-functional Soul Press II in 2022 and has used it as his go-to pedal for live performances since. The Wong Press adds a blue and white color scheme, a customized volume pedal curve, an adjustable wah Q value range, and travel lights that indicate pedal position and working mode¹. The outlet reports that Hotone engineers tuned the Q range to reach the wah tone Wong wanted while reducing the risk of accidental Q changes, and that the volume control was adjusted for a smoother transition in volume swells¹.

RockBoard's PedalPedia lists the pedal as analog, true bypass, with four modes (volume, expression, wah, and volume/wah), a dual-color status LED strip, an active volume design, separate tuner and expression outputs, and 9V DC or 9V battery power. It gives current draw as 30mA at 9V DC, center negative². Gearnews, in a later roundup, describes the Wong Press as adding active volume circuitry for reduced signal loss and a tonal footprint tailored to Wong's funk and rhythm approach, and lists it at $159.00³.

Pedal of the Day did not give a price or a release date. Gearnews lists the Wong Press at $159.00, the Soul Press II at $89.00 and the Ampero Press at $66.00³.
