ISP Technologies announced the Empyrean Preamp Pedal on May 31, 2024. The company said the pedal was developed through a collaboration with Michael Sweet of Stryper.
The Empyrean is a preamp pedal with two preamplifiers, a Distortion channel and a Clean channel. Each channel has controls for Gain, Bass, Swept Midrange (300 to 3KHz) and Treble. The pedal includes ISP Technologies' Decimator X noise reduction technology, a built-in effects loop and a footswitch for what the company calls an instant volume boost. It runs on a 9VAC power supply.
ISP Technologies described the pedal as aimed at the distorted and clean tones of 1980s rock. The company's announcement did not give a price or a ship date.
"We are excited to unveil the latest innovation for discerning guitarists: the EMPYREAN PREAMP PEDAL."
