JAM Pedals has updated its Wahcko wah to the MK2, adding a custom-designed inductor, a second internal trimmer for Q and internal DIP switches for guitar or bass operation. Guitar Pedal X reported the update on September 24, 20261; Gearnews published its coverage on September 232.

The MK2 replaces the original's red Fasel inductor with a custom JAM inductor modeled on the TDK inductors used in 1960s Cry Baby and Vox wah circuits312. The maker describes it as "inspired by the vintage TDK inductors found in classic 1960s Cry Baby and Vox wah circuits"3. The six-position SWEEP rotary switch on the side of the pedal carries over, as does the internal input-gain trimmer; both trimmers default to approximately 12 o'clock3. The new Q trimmer adjusts the character and intensity of the wah response3. Internal DIP switches set guitar or bass mode, with bass mode extending the sweep to lower registers3. The rocker tension is adjustable with an included 4 mm Allen key, and the footplate is now a rubber tread rather than plexiglass32. The pedal runs on a 9V DC adaptor or a 9V battery, draws 10 mA and is true bypass3.

"The new internal Q trimmer adjusts the character and intensity of the wah response, giving you another way to shape the sound alongside the SWEEP control."

Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson called it "One of the best sounding and most flavourful Wah Pedals since 2008," while noting he personally prefers a more compact wah1.
