Darkglass has brought out a Japan-market version of the Anagram multi-effects unit, limited to 200 units, according to a report dated October 27, 2026. The report describes it as a Japan version of a limited model that was sold to instrument shops in the US and UK.
The model is the Darkglass Electronics Anagram Guitar Essentials. It carries guitar amp modeling and guitar-oriented presets. The hardware is the same as the standard version: three footswitches, six knobs and a wide 7-inch touchscreen1. The six knobs are encoders, and they adjust parameters as well as switching effect blocks on and off and deleting or changing blocks1.
Inside, the unit uses a six-core DSP. The rear panel has an input, an effects loop, a headphone out, stereo outputs on XLR and 1/4-inch jacks, MIDI IN and OUT, USB-C and a power connector1. Editor software is also available1.
"米英の楽器店向けに発売された限定モデルを日本向けにしたバージョンが、200台限定で登場です。"
The report gives no US price or US availability for this version. It notes that the overseas black model appears in sample videos, while the Japan version comes in the standard color with the same contents1. The Anagram sits among multi-effects pedals.
