JHS announces Good Vibrations chorus/vibrato pedal with Sweetwater

June 3, 2024 · 2 sources

The JHS Good Vibrations is a Sweetwater exclusive linked to the Disney+ produced 2024 movie about the Beach Boys, Delicious Audio reported on June 3, 2024¹. Pedal of the Day described it as part of the Sweetwater Exclusive Beach Boys Limited Edition collection, a project that teams JHS with Keeley Electronics and Benson Amps².

The pedal is a tribute to '60s-style chorus and vibrato sounds, based on the old-school bulb-driven circuit¹. A red rocker switch on the top left selects between two voices: the slow warble of a vintage chorus and a faster, more dramatic swirl with pronounced pitch-bent characteristics typical of vibrato¹. Pedal of the Day describes the Chorus mode as thicker and the Vibrato mode as a faster, bolder warbling effect that bends pitch at the edges².

In either mode, the controls are Rate/Speed, Depth/Intensity and overall output, according to Pedal of the Day, which adds that the Volume control can offset perceived volume loss at deeper modulation settings². The pedal has a silent soft-touch footswitch and buffered bypass, and its enclosure is described as a big box that is still pedalboard-friendly². Delicious Audio notes the large knobs allow precise adjustments for on-the-fly tweaking and desktop use or re-amping¹.

Pedal of the Day reports the pedal is available in extremely limited quantities while supplies last². Neither source gives a price.
