JHS Pedals released The Violet, the first signature pedal for Lari Basilio, on November 4, 2024. The distortion and overdrive pedal is available in Black and Purple colorways for $199¹. Guitar Pedal X reported that the purple version reflects Basilio's favorite hue and was "reportedly limited in stock"².

According to JHS, this arrangement "allows the Violet to achieve hundreds of tones, from overdrive to full-on modern distortion"¹. MusicRadar reported that the Mid Freq knob selects midrange frequencies before the Middle knob sets how much of them is heard, and that noon on all dials gives a flat response³. The pedal has top-mounted jacks, a silent soft-touch footswitch and a purple LED, runs on 9V DC drawing 55mA, and has buffered bypass³.

Scott and Basilio began their collaboration in 2019, and Basilio has used a prototype of The Violet on almost everything she has played since mid-2022¹. "Everything I did, YouTube videos, my recordings, live shows, clinics, everything from mid-2022 on is with this pedal," Basilio said in the launch video¹.

Guitar Pedal X described the pedal's topology as looking "identical" to the JHS Hard Drive High Gain Distortion, with a brighter and less dense overall voice². MusicRadar reported that Scott designed the unit to be stackable with other drives and distortions³.

Reported prices differ. Guitar World, MusicRadar and Guitar Pedal X gave $199¹²³. Gearnews listed $195.00⁴.
