JHS Pedals announced the NOTADÜMBLË V2 on June 29, 2026, with the first batch due to launch on Tuesday, June 30 at 10 am CST1. The kit is the second edition of the company's second build-it-yourself pedal, which was discontinued after a circuit mix-up in the first version12.

The V2 replaces the V1's incorrect BBC-1 clean circuit with the Box It Later, a copy of the "A Box Later" unit built by Howard Dumble34. It pairs that clean boost with the overdrive channel, and adds two independent footswitches in place of the V1's channel slider, a front-edge order toggle to set which side comes first, and a TRS effects loop for the clean channel43. The Presence control, an internal trim pot on the V1, moves to the face of the pedal4. Controls are Volume, Drive, EQ and Presence for the overdrive, and Output and Input for the clean boost53. Ports are a 1/4-inch TRS effects loop that needs a TRS Y-splitter cable, 1/4-inch TS in and out, and 9V DC center negative at 25mA3.

The price is $11923. The first batch is limited to 6,000 units, and JHS says the pedal will be available indefinitely rather than as a limited edition14. Guitar Pedal X reported a postponement of the release due to a parts issue4.

The V1, released in May 2025, shipped with the wrong clean circuit; JHS discontinued it after its batch of 15,000 sold out and refunded anyone who asked to return a unit6. The BBC-1 circuit was later released on its own as the Fumble, an assembled pedal at $8962.

"The V2 swaps out the BBC-1 for the correct Box It Later clean circuit."

Reviewer Stefan Karlsson, writing in Guitar Pedal X, said he assembled the V2 in under 10 minutes and called the knobs and set-screws inconsistent, while describing the pedal as only marginally better sounding than its predecessor5.
