JHS releases The Wanderer dual overdrive pairing Morning Glory and NOTAKLÖN

October 13, 2026 · 5 sources

JHS Pedals announced The Wanderer, a two-in-one overdrive combining its Morning Glory and NOTAKLÖN circuits, on October 13, 2026, in a company video1. The pedal is the first in what JHS describes as a new vertical two-in-one format with top-mounted jacks2.

The right side is the Morning Glory, which JHS calls its take on a Marshall Bluesbreaker and its best-selling pedal ever; the left side is the NOTAKLÖN, a Klon-style overdrive2. Each side keeps the controls of the standalone pedal: Volume, Drive and Tone on the Morning Glory, and Volume, Gain and Treble on the NOTAKLÖN32. The Morning Glory's Gain toggle adds an additional gain stage and its LED turns red when that mode is active, and an inset Bright Cut switch cuts the highest frequencies2. The NOTAKLÖN's +/- toggle engages the Shamrock mod, which JHS says adds 4 dB of gain, more midrange and an additional stage of hard clipping2. Its Gain control, fully counterclockwise, allows up to 16 dB of clean boost with the Volume control2.

An Order toggle sets which side comes first when stacking, and has no effect when the individual jacks are used2. Each side has its own input and output jacks, so the circuits can run separately, with other pedals between them, or into separate loops on a switcher2. JHS says the two sides share only a power supply and an enclosure2. Each side also has a Red Remote jack for an external latching footswitch or a switcher's amp-control outputs to flip the gain toggles remotely2. The pedal uses silent soft-touch switching and buffered bypass, and requires 9VDC center negative power at 165mA42.

"It's my ultimate dream overdrive. This combo is kind of like your signature go-to drive pairing."

The Wanderer is $299 on the JHS webstore3. Guitar World reported that buying the two pedals separately would cost about $30 more5. JHS said the Wanderer is the first of several pedals in the new format1. Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson called it "very decent for sure" but wrote that he already has similar options and currently considers it "more of a nice-to-have"3.
