Kemper releases Profiler MK 2 Series across its full range

Kemper announced the Profiler MK 2 Series on May 28, 2025, describing it as an update to its entire Profiler range: the Head, Rack, Stage, Player and the powered Head and Rack versions123. Kemper said the units were available immediately from dealers worldwide and from its online store1. Guitar World reported at the time that the new units were expected in summer3.
The series runs on an upgraded processing engine, which Kemper says brings boot times of around 20 seconds and faster preset switching and interface response, particularly in Performance Mode12. Kemper lists 20 simultaneous effect blocks, seven more than before, running with no added signal latency1. The seven new blocks are a second Noise Gate (Palm Ninja), Compressor, Pure Booster, WahWah, Vintage Chorus, Air Chorus and Double Tracker123. Kemper says the layout leaves 8 flexible FX blocks for its other effects1.
Kemper also announced a new profiling technology for the MK 2 series, which it said was in extended testing with selected third-party profile vendors and expected during summer1. Kemper claims it analyzes more than 100,000 individual frequency points, and includes Liquid Profiling Technology, which it says integrates an original amp's gain and tone controls into a single profile123. Other additions include native 8-channel USB audio for multitrack recording and reamping without an external interface, and a looper with up to two minutes of recording time123. Kemper says the Profiler Stage Mk 2 uses new lightweight aluminum components to reduce weight123. Guitar World reported that screen sizes have shrunk and are no longer in color3.
Kemper says the Profiler Player was "MK 2"-ready from launch and gains 16 simultaneous FX on LVL 1 through a free update for existing owners; its looper is available from LVL 3, and Kemper says it will get profiling1. Guitar World reported the Player receives a software update rather than a new unit3.
