Kemper announced the immediate availability of the Profiler Mk II series, covering the Head, Rack, Stage, Player and powered models, according to Premier Guitar1. Guitar.com published a review of the unit on June 26, 2026, describing it as Kemper's response to capture devices from Neural DSP, Line 6, IK Multimedia and Headrush2.
The Mk II runs an upgraded processing engine that Kemper says brings boot times of around 20 seconds1. Guitar.com measured cold boot at under a minute and called it substantially quicker than the predecessor2. Kemper says the series adds seven effect blocks, for 20 simultaneous audio effect blocks with zero added signal latency1. The new blocks are a second noise gate (Palm Ninja), compressor, Pure Booster, WahWah, Vintage Chorus, Air Chorus and Double Tracker1. The onboard looper's recording time doubles to two minutes21. USB audio runs eight channels, up from four21.
Profiling 2.0 analyzes more than 100,000 individual frequency points and determines the amp's actual gain, applying it to the Profiler's gain knob21. A "Target Amp Model" setting mimics the target amp's EQ and gain knobs2. Kemper lists the new profiling as expected during Summer, currently in extended testing with selected third-party profile vendors1. Guitar.com states Profiling 2.0 is only available on the Mk II2. The review notes the unit ships with Profiling 2.0 sounds from Michael Britt and Tone Junkies, and that the library of 2.0 profiles is significantly smaller than the existing one2.
Connections include balanced and unbalanced inputs, two balanced outputs, two balanced monitor outs, two line outs, an effects loop, SPDIF input/outputs and a headphone jack2. The front panel keeps the signal-flow layout of input, four pre-amp effect slots, amp and cabinet buttons and four post-amp slots, with 14 rotary controls and a chickenhead mode selector for Browser, Profiling and Perform modes2.

"The new PROFILER MK 2-Series makes the PROFILERs feel more like a complete rig than ever before."
Guitar.com's review lists the inability to profile dirt pedals and the low-resolution display among its criticisms, and rated the unit 8 out of 102.
