Maestro, the pedal brand revived earlier this year by Gibson, introduced five new effects on November 8, 2022: the Agena Envelope Filter, Arcas Compressor Sustainer, Mariner Tremolo, Orbit Phaser and Titan Boost¹. Gearnews reported that the second wave brings the total number of Maestro pedal circuits to 10, after the first batch of the Fuzz-Tone FZ-M, Invader Distortion, Ranger Overdrive, Comet Chorus and Discoverer Delay².

All five use true bypass, three knobs, a toggle switch and the same small wedge enclosure with top-mounted jacks as Maestro's earlier 2022 launches¹. Guitar Player reported they are powered by a regular 9-volt DC power supply³.

The Agena Envelope Filter works as an auto-wah, moving a filter across the signal according to the envelope of the note¹. Its knobs are Sense, Attack and Decay, and the switch selects Hi or Lo filter frequency ranges²³. The Arcas Compressor Sustainer has Level, Sustain and Attack controls, with a Lo/Hi switch that adjusts input sensitivity according to pickup output and stacking¹; Guitar Player described the switch as setting how sensitive the compressor is to pick attack³. The Orbit Phaser runs in 4- or 6-stage mode via the switch, with Width, Feedback and Rate controls¹⁴. The Mariner Tremolo switches between amplitude and harmonic tremolo modes, with Depth, Speed and a Shape control that sweeps from triangle to square wave¹. The Titan Boost has a Hi Pass/Flat switch, with Tone, HPF and Level knobs; sources describe more than 25dB of clean boost²⁴³.

Prices differ by model. The Orbit Phaser and Arcas Compressor Sustainer list for $149, while the Mariner Tremolo, Titan Boost and Agena Envelope Filter list for $159¹. Guitar World reported all five as available now at those prices⁴.
