Meris has introduced the Enzo X, an upgraded version of its Enzo polyphonic synth pedal, the maker announced. The pedal is listed at US $599.001. Guitar.com reported on February 21, 2025 that it was available to order with the first batch expected to ship in early March2; Guitar World published its coverage on February 24, 20253.
The Enzo X is a synth pedal built around five synthesizer modes, including Mono, Polyphonic and Dry Processing, with six fully polyphonic voices available simultaneously1. Each voice includes two oscillators, a filter, a filter envelope and an amplifier envelope, according to Delicious Audio4. Meris lists ADSR envelope generators for both amplitude and filter, and saw, triangle and square waveforms selectable per oscillator with cross modulation1. The maker says the pedal can be played via instrument input or a MIDI keyboard1.
The effect section includes three reverbs adapted from the Mercury X Prism algorithm, five drives including Bitcrush, a full stereo 2.5 second delay and five modulation types4. Meris lists 99 preset locations in 33 banks, a favorite bank for three presets, and an instant access tuner with configurable reference and output mode1. The pedal has stereo input and output with separate jacks, switchable headroom for instrument or synthesizer/line levels, MIDI In and Out over standard DIN jacks, an expression pedal jack and a color screen interface adapted from the LVX and MercuryX1. Meris specifies 24-bit AD/DA conversion with 32-bit floating point DSP, a JFET input section, 9V DC power at 300mA, and dimensions of 7.25 inches wide and 4.5 inches long1.
Accounts differ on the enclosure size. Delicious Audio describes the Enzo X as "One and a half times wider than its predecessor"4, while Guitar.com says the pedal "packs it into a smaller enclosure"2. Meris states the pedal is designed and built in California, U.S.A.1.
"I always dreamed of releasing a synthesizer. And with Enzo X, we released a fully polyphonic monster that you can trigger with any instrument."
