Mr. Black announces Analog Tremolo pedal with Robot waveform
November 14, 2025 · 2 sources

Mr. Black has announced the Mr. Black Analog Tremolo, an all-analog tremolo built in the USA, reported by Delicious Audio on November 14, 20251. A second report on November 19, 2025 described a fourth waveform that the first did not2.
Delicious Audio describes the circuit as a high-performance VCA (Voltage-Controlled Amplifier) driven by a precision waveform generator, with a three-way waveform selector cycling between sine, triangle and square waves1. It reports an Intensity control that acts as a clean boost at its minimum setting and moves to deep attenuation at maximum, a master volume to maintain consistent output, high headroom for hot signals and low output impedance1. The same report describes a Robot Mode that disables the rate knob and locks the LFO into an ultra-fast, choppy oscillation1.
Guitar Pedal X lists the controls as Intense (Depth), Output, Rate and Waveform, with four waveforms: Triangle, Square, Sine and Robot (formant)2. It describes the Robot setting as a formant waveform "producing robot-talk sounds in tremolo format"2. The two reports differ on the waveform count: Delicious Audio describes a three-way selector and a separate Robot Mode1, while Guitar Pedal X counts Robot as a fourth waveform position2.
"There's a real elegance about this device and it definitely imparts unique flavours."
Guitar Pedal X reported the pedal at $199, against a regular price of $234, through the Mr. Black webstore2. Delicious Audio gave no price1. Guitar Pedal X also wrote that "there are overall more capable and versatile ones out there"2.
