MWFX announced the reintroduction of the Hard Sync, an analog synth effect the maker says is repurposed for guitarists, bassists and electronic artists¹. The announcement appeared in a post on the maker's site dated June 1, 2024¹.

According to the maker, the pedal features an envelope follower with adjustable response, two synced and gated oscillators, six voicing variations and velocity based amplitude¹. MWFX said five prototypes have been completed and that it is "a truly unique sounding pedal with a variety of options within"¹.

In a separate post, the maker described hard sync as a classic analog synth effect in which one note follows or restarts another, and said it applied the concept to a guitar pedal as an alternative to the fuzz face circuit¹. That post said the oscillators can be set to a fixed frequency or controlled by an envelope follower, and cited Daft Punk's album Human After All and The Cars' Let's Go as examples of the ringing sound¹. It also traced the design to the 2008 Auto Sync and a 2013/14 Hard Sync¹.

MWFX gave no price or release date for the Hard Sync¹.
