The Nobels ODR-mini2 is the next version of the compact model in the Nobels overdrive line, the maker's smaller counterpart to the ODR-1. Pedal of the Day described it as "the next evolution of the little brother of the legendary ODR-1"¹.

The pedal is an analog overdrive with a new Bass Cut control that, per the report, "helps tame and adjust the low frequencies"¹. It keeps the Spectrum EQ, described as a double filter tone control that simultaneously cuts or boosts bass and treble, on a potentiometer with a center detent¹. The enclosure is a new optimized metal housing, and the pedal is true bypass¹. It runs on 9 to 18 volts, with 18 volts allowing more headroom, and has glow-in-the-dark buttons¹. Four integrated, fold-out Mounty-P mounting plates are new¹.

Pedal of the Day placed the sound "somewhere between the mythical transparent overdrive and a certain classic mid-forward green pedal," and said the circuit delivers the range of tones that made the full-sized ODR-1 a cult classic among Nashville session players¹. The report put the price at $79¹.

The ODR-mini2 sits in the overdrive pedals category alongside the ODR-1. Nobels' own site lists the ODR-mini2 with the lines "TOPSELLER" and "BOUTIQUE SOUND NON BOUTIQUE PRICE"².
