Pedal Pawn announced the Say Wah on November 1, 2026, its first wah pedal1. The British company, founded in 2019 by guitarist Chris King Robinson, built the circuit from scratch1.
The Say Wah is true bypass and uses a hand-wound inductor, a custom-designed PCB and circuitry, and a CTS 100K custom-taper McCon-O-Pot II1. Robinson said the pot was developed with Mike McConachie, the man behind the McCon-O-Wah, and is rated for two million cycles1. Every unit is hand-assembled in the UK, and Robinson said he sets up and tests each one at the end of production1. A Japanese report also states that each wah housing is stripped and repainted by hand2.
Robinson said the first Say Wah concept dates to 2020, and that a wah had been the most requested Pedal Pawn product1. He cited late 1960s and early 1970s Italian-style wah sounds, particularly a vintage V846 with an old TDK-style inductor, as the main inspiration1. The pedal is named after the opening track of SRV's third studio album, released in 19851.
"The Say Wah circuit was developed from scratch in order to get the right response"
The Say Wah will retail for $4351.
