PastFX released the PX99 Classic Phase, a compact phaser based on the discontinued Ibanez PH99 Classic Phase, Guitar Pedal X reported on July 23, 2024¹. The maker describes it as "our take on the discontinued Ibanez PH99 Classic Phase with extra features"².

The pedal is a phaser with true bypass and a switchable square or sine wave LFO². A phase stage selector switches between 4 and 6 stages, with a green LED indicating 4 stages and a red LED indicating 6². Controls include Speed, Depth, Level, a positive/negative feedback control (noon is minimal feedback) and a Bias control that adjusts the phase bias to change the frequency sweep²¹. A Q switch raises the Q factor of the swept filter path, which the maker says shifts the peaks and notches closer together for "a deeper, more focused, flange-like phaser tone"². Internal controls are a bass cut slide switch and an oscillation reduction trim². It runs on a 9vdc negative center 2.1mm jack with 40ma current draw, and the enclosure measures 112 x 60 x 31mm (4.4 x 2.36 x 1.22 inches)².

Guitar Pedal X reported the PX99 is PastFX's third phaser, after the Foot Phaser Deluxe and Rotary Phaser, and that Bias, Feedback and Q can produce a pseudo-flanger voice¹. The reviewer, Stefan Karlsson, wrote that the pedal is "fantastic at gearing up through the different degrees of texture" and that maximum settings deliver "quacky modulation"¹.

The PX99 Classic Phase is $209 USD for most of the world from the PastFX Reverb.com store, and $299 in Oceania and Asia Pacific from the PastFX webstore, according to Guitar Pedal X¹.
