PedalPalFx updates PAL 800 Gold Overdrive to V4

PedalPalFx has updated its PAL800-V4 GOLD Overdrive to V4, the maker's page for the pedal shows. The company describes the pedal as a modified JCM800 circuit that replaces vacuum tubes with selected transistors, and says V4 packs the 800 series' configurations into "a smaller and easy to setup format"1.
The pedal keeps six knobs: Gain, a three-band EQ with Bass, Middle and Treble, Presence and Master Volume1. A three-way toggle switch offers JCM II, Mod #07 and Mod #34 settings. The maker says JCM II keeps the original PAL800 GOLD design for a modern JCM800 tone, Mod #07 adds a gain voicing configuration from the PAL800-V3, and Mod #34 is an improved version of a modification associated with Slash1. A Master Tone trim pot inside the main circuit board adjusts the final tone1.
Delicious Audio reported that the three-position voice switch was moved to the top right of the case and that V4 fits the six knobs into a compact case2. The same report contains an apparent error, saying "whereas V4 featured a wider enclosure" in a sentence comparing V4 with earlier versions2.

The maker says each pedal is set up by hand and tested by its founders, with only a few available per month1. No US price is given on either page.
